The Griffith Student Representative Council is a great resource for students. They provide all kinds of support including, courses to make you more employable, food support for those who are feeling the struggle of the cost-of-living crisis, and social events to help students connect with their peers and expand their network.


Skill courses that are available soon include; Barista courses First aid and CPR training MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) and RSA/RSG courses (Available in Tri 2). These courses do have a fee; however, it is reduced thanks to SRC, and places are limited. https://griffithsrc.com.au/src-courses/

Fresh produce markets are available Wednesdays at Brisbane campuses. They provide free seasonal produce for students to keep our students healthy and happy. The Student Pantry provides pantry items for those who need it. They run on donations, so keep that in mind if you are in the position to donate. https://griffithsrc.com.au/student-pantry/

There are many other support services such as short-term accommodation and legal advice available to students, please follow to their website for more details. https://griffithsrc.com.au/

Not only do they provide support, but they also organise events for students to socialise and network with their peers. Social events that are during O-week include;

Virtual Intro Session – 27th Feb – This is in introduction to Griffith University, an outline of resources and how to get around your campus.

Australia Zoo Trip – 1st March
Surf Trip – 2nd March (Morning)

O-Week Beach Themed Party – 2nd March (7pm-11pm)

Board Games Afternoon – 5th March Online Movie Night – 5th March Trivia Night – 6th March

Movie Night at Nathan Campus – 7th March
