Even with the slow start many of us experienced in trimester one, due to the rainy days and, of course, Cyclone Alfred, POLSCIRS still powered through and hosted some fun events for our members!
We started the trimester with our Carnival Day, which we collaborated with the Griffith Law Society to bring to life! With fairy floss, popcorn and carnival games aplenty, it was a tremendous success even despite the rainy conditions.
Later in the trimester, we also hosted our SIRENS & SHOTS event with the Griffith Forensic Society, which saw our members don inmate outfits and fail miserably at mini golf, before running over to a few bars in the Valley!
We’re not all just fun and games, though! POLSCIRS is committed to providing its members with opportunities to connect with industry professionals, helping them kickstart their networking journey.
This is why, on August 29th, from 5pm-7:30pm at the Nathan Campus in collaboration with the Criminology Student Society and the Forensics Society, we will be hosting an industry panel event for our members to meet and converse with industry professionals from diverse organisations!
It’s a great opportunity to learn about the opportunities there are in politics and hear some fascinating stories from professionals.
Until then, hope to see you there!
