Mount Gravatt representatives on the SRC have been working on finding out crucial information about the 2026 shut down of the Mount Gravatt Campus.
On Monday’s SRC Board meeting, Sara Cunningham and Alicia Brdjanovic raised concerns about the future of sport facilities at the Mount Gravatt Campus.
Ms Cunningham and Ms Brdjanovic expressed disappointment in Griffith’s messaging around the Olympics while not communicating how Griffith Sports will continue without the Mount Gravatt facilities.
The loss of these facilities will mean a downturn in revenue for Griffith University, which is already struggling with international student caps announced by the Federal Government in May.

SRC Elections and Changes to the Constitution
The SRC is looking for students who want to improve student experiences to nominate themselves for the election.
Nominations for the SRC elections open on the 9th of September and close on the 16th. Voting will begin on the 23rd of September.
Changes to the SRC Constitution means that there are nine positions up for grabs for students from any campus.
Current SRC members are concerned that these changes will result in a little to no representation at smaller campuses like Logan.
The SRC are now exploring whether campus specific committees will help bridge potential gaps.
